Have you ever left a concert that you had really been looking forward to, feeling like your life no longer had meaning to it? Do you have a very big concert coming up, one that you are currently looking forward to? If this is you, you are probably the victim of Post Concert Depression (PCD). Here is a step-by-step guide to recovering from the very best night of your life!
- Cry (A lot)
There are probably a lot of emotions you need to process. The joy and accomplishment of seeing your favorite artist perform your favorite song live, longing to relive the night over and over and over again, and sadness that you will never be able to experience it again. Get all of those emotions out! Grab your tissues, your favorite blanket, and some really sad music, and let it all go. Feel your feels queen <3
- Hydrate
With all that crying, you most definitely need to replenish your fluids. Drink some water, maybe tea to recover from the intense screaming of lyrics and any other beverage you may feel inclined to pick up from Superbest or Rams.
- Share the Love
You know what will really make you and all of your followers feel better? Posting every single video that you took onto your Instagram and Snapchat stories! The longer the better. Let everyone experience the concert as if they were there! Bonus: you can rewatch your own stories all day and live vicariously through them. No reason to keep those videos to yourself. Spread the love!
- Contact the Artist
While I have never been famous, I feel like if I were, I would want to know that people enjoyed my performance. Consider sending the artist an Instagram, or find their personal phone number or email address and thank them personally! That is totally normal and not any sort of invasion of privacy at all! Famous people are NOT real people.
- Make the Music a Reality
Did you just spend three hours screaming lyrics about heartbreak and loneliness while being in a relationship? Make the feeling a reality and break up with them! That way, the feeling you had while singing lasts even longer. Were you singing extremely romantic songs about true love while being completely and entirely alone? Fix that! Ask out that person you think you have no chance with! Shoot your shot.
No matter what you do or how you feel, nothing can ever take away the feeling of joy you had or take your favorite songs off of Spotify (or Apple Music… freaks). I hope this guide gave you some ideas on what you should (or should not) do to reminisce about the night of your life 🙂
